Countdown to 2012

2012 Conference - What's In Store...

Location: Whittlebury Hall, nestled in the beautiful countryside surrounding Towcester in Northamptonshire.

Date: 28-30 June 2012

Our conference is all about getting together for a bit of inspiration, some thought provoking ideas and well, a right good knees up…..oh yes, and everyone including the kids is welcome…..

Like Quadbiking? Off Roading? Clay pigeon Shooting? Golf? Or prefer to spend an afternoon in the Spa being pampered? Thursday afternoon is all about kicking back and taking some well deserved time out with fellow dealers and the Superstat Team for an afternoon filled with fun and a cold beer. Lots of dealers choose to come for the Thursday so they are ready for when business starts the following day and joining in the activities we put on is one of the best ways to get to meet as many people as possible before the conference begins. It’s all for fun, but there is no denying there is some healthy (would we call it healthy?!) competition on the Golf Course and Race Track so come down a day early and have a laugh and meet some new people.

Each year we welcome “newbies” to the conference who know no-one. We are quite particular about how we look after these people & make it our business to introduce them to as many people as possible and as a result they end the weekend knowing everyone! Our newbies go on to  be conference regulars for years to come. so if you don’t know anyone else now, you soon will!

We know how difficult it is to find babysitters for a weekend so feel free to bring them along; we’ll even give them a special goody bag to welcome them on arrival. We’d love to be able to invite them to the events but the conference is for adults but we’ll do whatever we can to help you arrange in room babysitting, special meal times or activities to keep them occupied. Just let us know what you are thinking and we’ll help where we can.

Our “alternative programme” is specially created for “other halves” who love the idea of coming along for a weekend of luxury, but think that the mere thought of business sessions is enough to send them running for the hills! Most of our “alternative” programme followers are ladies but we have had gentlemen before who have enjoyed being pampered just as much as the women so everyone is absolutely welcome. This year we have trips to local areas of interest plus the opportunity to create your own hand creams and shower gels whilst sipping chilled champagne and devouring handmade chocolates not to mention full access to the spa and gym with pre-reserved slots to avoid disappointment.

The business programme is current and informative but not too heavy, our aim is for everyone to take something away with them that will change their business, without death by Powerpoint so rest assured, we never fill every second of the day and there is plenty of time to relax in the hotel or check out the local area. Just the opportunity to sit and chat with other dealers seems to be one of the biggest draws of our conference so we host relaxed networking sessions, in other words drinks in a private bar where you can hook up with friends old and new.

In the evening we lay on two superb events. With the Olympics round the corner this year’s theme couldn’t be anything else. On Friday we’re hosting a Greek night complete with acoustic guitars, belly dancing and plate smashing. While Saturday night see’s an Olympic Dinner with awards and live music into the early hours.

Here are just a few comments on last year’s event:

“Dear Superstat Family, We would like to thank you for the most amazing and appreciated conference we have ever been to. Your staff are amazing, their politeness and genuine friendliness will certainly be the envy of all. The businesses sessions were informative without being boring and the masquerade ball was fabulous.”

"I wanted to say thank you for a great conference. It was thoroughly enjoyable from a social and business perspective. Also it was good to meet you and your colleagues. Meeting some suppliers that I wasn’t previously aware of is going to give me new opportunities to sell. A great effort by Superstat, I can’t wait until next year! Please pass on my thanks to your colleagues."

"I would just like to say a big Thank You to all the team at Superstat.
Even though we were “Conference Virgins”, my wife and I were made to feel very welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
It was also great to meet and talk with other members of Superstat who are running very successful Office Supplies businesses. I have learnt many things over the past couple of days which I know will help me move my business forward at a rapid pace in the future.
Once again, please pass on my Thanks to all the staff at Superstat who made the Conference an unforgettable and rewarding experience."
